Woodworking
Worm Towers
Did you know that red wiggler worms can take your kitchen scraps and turn them into castings which are great for your houseplants and your garden?
These gorgeous towers allow customers to bring this process inside, making it convenient and easy to compost kitchen scraps and reducing household or commercial waste.
How to get involved:
Being a part of this project will involve:
Taking the Woodshop 101 workshop at the Shuswap Makerspace
Putting your new skills to work to create worm towers
Marketing the towers in our community and online
Packaging and delivering/shipping the towers to customers
Providing customer service
Educating the public on worm composting
The first step is taking Woodshop 101. The next workshop will be offered in May 2024.
